Favorite Pilgrim Memory: My first summer I taught at Pilgrim I will never forget teaching two weeks of ballet and dance camp which culminated into a mini production of The Sleeping Beauty classical ballet. Students learned solos, duets, pas de deux, and chorus dances, they handmade a backdrop, used a bridge and house stage set piece, borrowed costumes from the chapel, and found props from the child care room. On their first day I asked each student if they were excited to try ballet.  The boys said "no," but by the end of the week, after inserting hip-hop tricks and gymnastics into the boys' Crows and Court Jester dance and teaching acting solo parts for the male non-dancers, they were really excited and happily participated during ballet barre class with the ladies. We presented Pilgrim's first abbreviated full-length classical ballet. Their joy and smiles were priceless.

Favorite Bible Verse: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." -1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Favorite Pilgrim Memory: One of my favorite memories as a student at Pilgrim was during a Locks of Love school assembly when I was in 8th grade.  I had just finished donating my hair on stage when the woman who organized the event asked if anyone else would like to donate their hair.  All of a sudden, I saw one of my best friends stand up and announce that she was going to donate her hair, too!  Not only did we give a precious gift to children in need, but we also had the cutest bobs for our 8th grade graduation pictures!
